Its unique and distinctive appearance creates a sense of solemnity, mystery, and an irresistible allure for travelers visiting this rocky plateau for the first time. At the summit lies a deep cave known as the "Heavenly Well." This well is associated with the battle between the Yellow Flag Army, led by Hoang Sung Anh – a Trang ethnic bandit – and the White Flag Army, composed of ethnic minorities. For a nature-loving traveler, Mount Cam Son is undoubtedly an ideal destination when visiting Ha Giang.

Mount Mo Neo is not only famous for its majestic beauty but also for its connection to the mysterious legends of the Tay people. One widely circulated story tells of a young carpenter who, while searching for an axe handle on Mount Mo Neo, accidentally stepped into a magical world. When he reached the summit, he coincidentally met two old men engrossed in playing chess on a rock. The captivating game made him forget about time and the world around him. When he became hungry, one of the old men gave him a magical orange that restored his health.

After the chess game ended, the two old men vanished into the mist, leaving the carpenter alone on the mountain. When he retrieved the axe handle, he found it had become a rotten piece of wood. He decided to return home, but everything had changed completely. Time seemed to have flown by; everyone he knew had aged, while he remained as youthful as ever…
