On May 17th, Hong Bang International University organized the 2nd Young Scientists Conference in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together over 300 young scientists, lecturers, researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduates participating with 124 research projects in various fields.

Many studies at the conference went beyond academic exercises and focused on solving practical problems in healthcare, education , and governance using hospital data, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation.

A notable aspect of this year's conference is the inclusion of topics based on clinical data, treatment records, patient surveys, and healthcare management problems.

Students from Hong Bang International University participated in presenting various topics related to practical applications.

In the field of medicine, reports focus on a variety of specific issues such as ectopic pregnancy, lower gastrointestinal bleeding in children, quality of life after bladder cancer surgery, treatment of deep vein thrombosis in the lower extremities, endometrial cancer in women under 40, asthma in young children, and rehabilitation after stroke.

According to the organizers, the common thread among the studies is placing data within the context of patients, hospitals, and actual treatment decisions. Early access to clinical data helps students bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and the professional environment.

In the public health field, several research topics explore big data in treatment management, healthcare costs, and outpatient prescriptions, with survey scales reaching tens of thousands of records and prescriptions.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Rector of Hong Bang International University, believes that fostering a spirit of scientific research in the younger generation is a crucial mission of higher education, especially in the context where science, technology, and innovation are playing an increasingly significant role in society.

Besides health sciences, AI, data, and digital transformation are also topics of interest to many research groups. Several reports mention the application of AI in education, logistics, e-commerce, and governance.
