| Every Saturday, women in Quan Chu commune work together to clean the village roads and alleys, and clear drainage ditches, contributing to a green, clean, and beautiful environment. |
One of the highlights of the movement is the Women's Association of Hamlet 9. Leading us along the flower-lined road running through the center of the hamlet, Ms. Dang Thi Hoa, Head of the Women's Association of Hamlet 9, shared: "When we started building the flower-lined road, the women in the hamlet went from house to house to spread the word and encourage people to participate."
Some contributed seedlings, others contributed labor, and still others helped with the care. Gradually, everyone became conscious of maintaining cleanliness and taking care of the flowers in front of their houses.
From a narrow, overgrown road, Hamlet 9 has now transformed into a nearly 1km long, beautiful flower-lined road with a 6m wide concrete surface. Not only does it create a lush green landscape, but the road has also become a source of pride for the local people.
Looking at the road adorned with vibrant flowers in front of her house, Ms. Le Thi Chau Loan, from Hamlet 9, said emotionally: "The village road is now wide, clean, and beautiful, with flowers on both sides, and Party flags and national flags displayed during holidays and Tet. People can travel more conveniently, and their spirits are also higher."
The movement to build flower-lined roads is spreading strongly not only in Hamlet 9 but also in many other hamlets in Quan Chu commune. According to Ms. Ha Thi Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quan Chu commune, the entire commune currently has more than 2,500 members participating in 29 women's union branches. To date, 20 out of 29 hamlets have built flower-lined roads with a total length of over 8km.
The commendable aspect is that, thanks to the flower-lined street construction movement, people's awareness of environmental protection has been increasingly raised. Many families proactively clean up, care for trees, and collect waste in designated areas. These clean and beautiful streets have contributed to changing people's mindsets and practices in building a civilized life in residential areas.

Along with improving the environmental landscape, Quan Chu also mobilized the people's participation in expanding rural roads, creating momentum for socio -economic development. Thanks to the correct policies of the Party committee and the government, the movement of donating land for road construction has received high consensus from the people.
Comrade Dang Le Ninh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Quan Chu commune, said: "The movement has awakened the strength of unity among the people, promoting the leading role of the people in building new rural areas. People not only agree but also actively participate in donating land and dismantling structures to expand transportation routes."
After three years of implementing the movement to donate land and assets on the land to expand transportation routes, Quan Chu commune has cleared nearly 40km of roads, exceeding the set plan. More than 1,500 households voluntarily donated over 91,000m2 of land along with many structures and assets on the land, with a total estimated value of over 21.4 billion VND.
In addition, the rural lighting system has also been invested in. To date, the commune has built more than 42km of street lighting in hamlets such as Tan Vinh, Thong Nhat, Den, Chiem, Vang, etc., reaching approximately 82% of the total length of the commune's roads.
Wide, open roads, rows of colorful flowers, and bright lights every night have created a new face for Quan Chu today. The economy is developing, the material and spiritual lives of the people are increasingly improving; the fields of culture, education , and health continue to develop comprehensively; and community bonds are strengthened.
