Ms. Nghiem Thi Huong, in charge of business activities here, shared: “The new store will be in operation from the end of 2024. To reach a large number of customers, we actively introduce products on personal Facebook and Zalo. In addition, we also build Fanpages (large community groups) to reach many customers. Currently, the pages attract the attention of nearly 10,000 accounts.”
The store assigned some employees to write attractive content to introduce products, take beautiful photos of items; post daily and share in many groups. Thanks to actively posting products on social networking sites, the store has more retail and wholesale orders in and outside the province. For example, in May, this place consumed nearly 10 thousand units of various products, nearly 3 thousand more than the previous month. In the coming time, the store will promote livestreaming, organize incentive programs to attract more customers and agents.
Yen The Green Agriculture Cooperative has many quality OCOP products with a position in the market such as Yen The vacuum-packed hill chicken, salt-cured chicken, dried chicken with lemon leaves, chicken sausage, chicken ham... In addition to consuming large quantities for supermarkets, restaurants, and collective kitchens, the Cooperative's products are also promoted and consumed strongly on a number of e-commerce platforms such as: TikTok Shop, Tiki, Shopee...
In particular, from mid-2024, the unit will be guided by the Provincial Cooperative Alliance and Mobifone Bac Giang to implement a cooperative digitalization model. Users only need to scan the QR code to learn about all production and business activities of the Cooperative through virtual reality technology.
When linking with the Zalo application, customers are also introduced and consulted about products from Yen The hill chicken and conduct transactions on this platform. According to statistics, each month, the Cooperative sells about 30 tons of feather chicken; more than 20 tons of meat chicken; 3 tons of ham, chicken, chicken sausage... Of which, most of the orders are obtained thanks to promotion and consumption on the online environment. It is known that the Cooperative has an average revenue of 7-8 billion VND/year; creating jobs for hundreds of local workers.
In addition to the two above-mentioned units, many other businesses, cooperatives, and production households in the province also focus on covering their products on social networks and online trading floors. For example, Cao Lan Agricultural and Service Cooperative (Yen The) regularly films and posts videos introducing the process of producing smoked pork online, helping customers have a realistic view of the product, thereby increasing orders.
It can be seen that the strong development of digital technology and platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, Sendo, Postmart... are creating a new potential direction for local OCOP products; producers and consumers are connected more closely without having to go through intermediaries.
The representative of the Department of Industry and Trade added that incomplete statistics show that about 85% of OCOP products, typical and unique of the province, are introduced, promoted and consumed in the electronic environment.
Through this, consumers anywhere can easily search and purchase products according to their needs. To ensure the prestige of goods and retain customers for a long time, each entity using digital tools to sell goods needs to pay attention to fully updating information on traceability, ingredients, expiry date, labels, full instructions for use, etc. When there is feedback from customers, it needs to be received and resolved promptly.
