Vinh Yen City Stadium put into use on National Day September 2

After more than 2 years since the groundbreaking ceremony, the Vinh Yen City Stadium Project has basically completed the construction of the rough structure, with many items meeting and exceeding the set schedule. Currently, contractors are focusing on synchronously constructing the remaining items, striving to complete the project and put it into use in time for the National Day on September 2, 2025.

Following the delegation of Vinh Yen City People's Committee, we visited the construction site of Vinh Yen City Stadium. Despite the hot weather, at times reaching nearly 40 degrees Celsius, at the construction site of Vinh Yen City Stadium Project, there were still dozens of engineers and workers working diligently and enthusiastically. The construction atmosphere at every location was enthusiastic and urgent. Thanks to that, after more than 2 years of intense construction, the largest and most modern sports facility in the city is gradually coming into existence.

Mr. Le The Ha, Vinh Phuc Construction and Trading Company Limited - Construction site commander said: To achieve and exceed the construction volume, the company mobilized maximum technical staff, workers, concentrated construction equipment and machinery throughout the holidays and the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

At peak times, we mobilized nearly 100 engineers and workers, organized scientific work, overtime, and extra shifts with the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, working outside in good weather, working inside in bad weather" to ensure progress.

Up to now, the project has basically completed the rough construction items; is constructing the covering structure items, completing the project and the technical infrastructure items outside the house.

The cumulative completed construction volume has reached more than 80%. The construction unit is mobilizing technical staff and workers to concentrate on means and human resources to complete the construction according to the approved schedule.

Mr. Phung Van Ton, a technical worker at the construction site, shared: All workers of the company always comply with labor safety regulations, work overtime reasonably to ensure health, and maintain stability of construction sites.

Currently, the teams are focusing on constructing the left roof of the stadium and have all been trained in safety skills, and must have full protective equipment before being allowed to go up to the roof to work. The remaining part is waiting for materials to be gathered, striving to complete both roof sections of the project by mid-June 2025, then seats will be installed, painting, and electrical and water systems will be installed.

According to the assessment of the project investor, Vinh Yen City Project Management Board: With the high determination of the contractors, working in "3 shifts, 4 teams", and being creative in construction, up to now, many main items of the Stadium Project have been completed and exceeded the set schedule.

Many items have been basically completed, such as reinforced concrete structure, steel roof truss structure, plastering of stands A, B, drainage system, ventilation system... Currently, contractors are focusing on completing the steel structure, football field surface and technical infrastructure around the stands...

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang, an officer of the Vinh Yen City Project Management Board, said: According to the direction of the province and the City People's Committee, the Vinh Yen City Stadium Project will be completed in time to celebrate the National Day on September 2, 2025 and the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025-2030.

To achieve that goal, along with arranging staff to regularly follow the construction site, the investor conducts weekly meetings with contractors and supervision consultants to review progress and promptly resolve difficulties and problems during the construction process.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to urge contractors to synchronously implement solutions to speed up construction progress on the basis of ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment at the construction site, meeting quality requirements according to the design.

The investor also closely coordinated with specialized agencies to promptly appraise and evaluate the construction volume to disburse capital to ensure the plan. To date, the project has disbursed 69/138,888 billion VND for construction and installation.

According to the plan, after completing the rough construction, the contractors will continue to synchronously construct the items inside the stadium, the artificial turf field and the fire prevention and fighting system... Along with that, the difficulties and problems during the construction process, the City Project Management Board will coordinate with the contractors to find ways to promptly resolve them to soon complete and hand over the project for use.

With a total investment of over 148 billion VND, the stadium is one of the key projects of Vinh Yen city and the province. The project is built on an area of over 15 hectares, with a design scale of 7,000 covered seats.

After completion and put into use, Vinh Yen City Stadium will meet the infrastructure requirements for developing the city's physical education and sports career and organizing provincial sports events; serving the training and competition needs of athletes and people; contributing to improving the quality of cultural and sports life for city residents.
