Specifically, Mekong Fruit Import-Export Co., Ltd. is currently purchasing green Siamese coconuts (grade 1) at approximately 95,000 VND per dozen; and red Siamese coconuts at 85,000 VND per dozen, an increase of about 30-35,000 VND per dozen compared to last month.

The hot weather has led to a surge in demand for coconut-based beverages.

With over 2 hectares of coconut plantations, Mr. Phan Quoc Thoi (Trung Hiep commune) said: The main reason for the increase in fresh coconut prices is the prolonged hot weather, which has led to a surge in demand for natural coconut-based beverages. Meanwhile, during the dry season, coconut yields tend to decrease, and production cannot meet market demand, resulting in price increases.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the first quarter of 2026, the price of dried coconuts fluctuated from 62,000 to 70,000 VND per dozen, a decrease from 60,000 to 63,000 VND per dozen compared to the same period last year. The reason for the decrease in dried coconut prices is due to increased supply and slow exports.
