Duc Tho strives to complete the second round of livestock vaccination by October 30th.

To ensure disease prevention for livestock, Duc Tho district ( Ha Tinh province) is implementing vaccination programs against several dangerous diseases affecting buffaloes, cattle, and pigs.

On the morning of August 31st, in Dai Loi village, the People's Committee of Duc Tho town organized vaccination against hemorrhagic septicemia and foot-and-mouth disease for 150 buffaloes and cows.

Duc Tho district has a total herd of over 13,000 buffaloes and cows, and over 14,000 pigs. In the second phase of 2023, the district aims to achieve 100% vaccination coverage for its livestock.

Currently, Duc Tho district has assigned targets for the second round of livestock vaccination to all communes and towns. Specifically: from August 31st to October 30th, 2023, the target is to vaccinate 21,000 doses of foot-and-mouth disease and hemorrhagic septicemia vaccines against buffalo and cattle; and 22,000 doses of African swine fever and hemorrhagic septicemia vaccines against pigs.

Duc Tho district is striving to complete the second round of vaccination for livestock by October 30, 2023.

To ensure the effectiveness and safety of the second vaccination campaign, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Center for Application of Science and Technology & Protection of Plants and Animals in Duc Tho district have sent officials to local areas to supervise, direct, and guide the vaccination work; and to intensify propaganda efforts to raise people's awareness of disease prevention for livestock.
