After 5 years of granting approval for a 275m high mountain tourist area at the gateway to Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh terminated the project because the business wanted to stop.
On June 7, Mr. Le Hoang Nghi, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh, said that the Provincial People's Committee had assigned the department to carry out procedures to terminate the investment in the Ba Hoa Mountain Ecological Villa and Tourist Area project with a total capital of 255 billion VND of Ba Hoa Mountain Joint Stock Company.

The project was first granted investment policy in June 2018 with the goal of building observation points of Quy Nhon City from above, building resorts, tourist attractions, craft village tourism, farms, restaurants, and motels. The implementation area is 6.4 hectares with a total capital of 180 billion VND, implemented until 2019.
The project was expected to change the face of Ba Hoa Mountain, a 275-meter-high mountain in the middle of Quy Nhon City that is currently covered with only acacia and eucalyptus trees and a few illegally built houses.
However, after two years of being granted the policy, the investor has not yet implemented it. In August 2019, Binh Dinh province adjusted the project, increasing the area to 9.6 hectares, total capital of 255 billion VND, and the progress was extended to 2021. However, the investor still did not continue the project.
The leader of Binh Dinh Department of Planning and Investment said that the investor voluntarily stopped implementing the Nui Ba Hoa Project due to difficulties caused by Covid-19.
Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee will plan to organize bidding and select new investors to implement the project in the coming time.
