Notably, Kim Ye-jin, the reigning world champion (and world record holder) in the women's 25m air pistol, failed to qualify. Kim Ye-jin finished in the top eight in the first half of the qualifying round, but a fateful zero in the rapid fire round denied the Korean shooter the chance to reach the final. Earlier, Kim Ye-ji also won a silver medal in the women's 10m air pistol.

Thus, Thu Vinh has avoided a strong opponent in the final. The Vietnamese shooter will compete at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (August 3) for the medal that the country's sports delegation has been waiting for.

President of Vietnam Shooting Federation gives bonus!

President of the Vietnam Shooting Federation Do Van Binh awarded Trinh Thu Vinh 100 million VND for reaching the final of the women's 25m pistol event.

The former head coach of the Vietnamese shooting team offered a bonus of 1,000 USD for each event that each Vietnamese shooter reached the final at the 2024 Olympics. Thus, Vinh was awarded 2,000 USD (about 50 million VND) by Ms. Nhung for reaching the final twice.
