Lam Dong A man who specializes in selling and renting 2mm micro-earphones, button-mounted cameras, and "modified" phones to serve exam cheating has just been discovered by the police.

On June 26, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Lam Dong Provincial Police, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, discovered that a 33-year-old man (in Ha Dong District, Hanoi) was renting high-tech equipment to two people in Da Lat City to cheat on exams.

At the man's home, authorities seized 20 sets of tiny headphones, 10 "modified" phones, and hundreds of components for assembling recording devices and broadcasting cameras.

This person confessed that 5 years ago, he knew that many people wanted to buy secret recording and video recording devices to cheat on exams, so he ordered them from abroad and sold them for profit. Each set of equipment costs 1-6 million VND.

Cameras worn on the test takers' buttons will automatically record and take pictures and send the questions to the outside via software. This group will then read the answers via hidden phones connected to 2mm bead-shaped headphones.

This person was also accused of organizing the rental of cheating equipment for many people taking foreign language certification exams, at a price of 5-14 million VND.

Previously, Lam Dong Provincial Police discovered a 31-year-old man in Duc Trong District advertising "selling and renting super small devices for cheating on exams" in local forums and groups. According to the investigation, this person bought a set of devices to try and advertise, but no one bought it.
