Việt NamViệt Nam21/03/2025

The road connecting Lang Giang Bridge to Provincial Road 161 is 1.2 km long. This is an adjusted and supplementary item of the Lang Giang Bridge project. According to the design, the section from Lang Giang Bridge to the railway overpass has a roadbed width of 25 m and a road surface width of 15 m; the section from after the railway overpass to the end of the route intersecting with Provincial Road 161 has a roadbed width of 33 m and a road surface width of 15 m; the railway overpass consists of one span 33 m long and 19 m wide.

The 1.2 km road connecting Lang Giang Bridge to Provincial Road 161 will be completed and put into use by the end of March 2025.

After more than two years of implementation, due to obstacles in compensation and land clearance, construction had to be halted at times. Once these obstacles were resolved and the site was cleared, the construction unit quickly resumed work and completed 95% of the project. Currently, the final tasks are being completed for handover on March 30th.

Mr. Trinh Ba Tung, site manager of Minh Duc General Construction Co., Ltd., said: "The contractor is coordinating with relevant units to urgently complete the remaining items such as road markings, curbs, sidewalks, and tree planting pits. We are committed to completing the project and putting it into use before March 30th."

The incomplete electricity and water systems in the resettlement area are affecting the construction of houses for the residents.

Upon investigation, it was found that 18 households affected by land clearance have received resettlement land, but several shortcomings have emerged in the resettlement area, such as: incomplete infrastructure, lack of electricity grid, forcing households to install temporary power lines, which are unsafe. The water supply system also does not meet requirements, affecting daily life and the progress of house construction for residents.

Mr. Vuong Van Hiep, from Muc village, Thai Nien commune, Bao Thang district, said: "Currently, we are driving piles to build houses, but there is no electricity yet, so we have to rely on electricity from other families. I hope that the authorities and relevant departments will soon complete the infrastructure at the resettlement area."

The road connecting Lang Giang Bridge to Provincial Road 161 is one of the transportation projects experiencing delays due to obstacles in land clearance, compensation, and resettlement. The difficulties faced by residents need to be addressed by the local authorities and the project investor, especially regarding the construction of technical infrastructure and ensuring the rights and interests of the people when they relocate to new homes.
