Railways increase the number of passenger trains during the April 30th holiday.

The railway will operate additional passenger trains to serve people traveling during the April 30th - May 1st holiday on various routes.

According to the Vietnam Railway Transport Corporation, the additional train services are organized on routes to central provinces and Hai Phong .

Specifically, on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route, in addition to the 5 pairs of Thong Nhat passenger trains running daily, there will be 2 extra SE9 trains on April 29th and 30th, running from Hanoi station to Saigon station.

In addition, there will be 4 extra trains from Saigon to Da Nang ; 8 trains from Saigon to Quy Nhon, 6 trains from Saigon to Nha Trang station, 2 trains from Saigon to Phan Thiet, 2 trains from Hanoi to Da Nang and 4 trains from Hanoi to Dong Hoi.

On the Hanoi - Hai Phong route, in addition to the 4 pairs of trains running daily, trains LP10 and HP4 departing from Hai Phong station, and train HD2 departing from Hai Duong station will run from May 2nd to 4th.

The Vietnam Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced that during this period, the railway will continue to apply discount policies for social policy beneficiaries, the elderly, children, students, trade union members, and round-trip tickets.

During this period, the railway is offering a 40% discount on train tickets for passengers who are war invalids, those receiving benefits similar to war invalids, sick soldiers, veterans, and relatives of those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution. The discount applies to passengers purchasing tickets for travel between April 24th and May 9th; these tickets are sold directly at train stations.
