Workers and engineers of EVNCPC prepare specialized vehicles and equipment to go to support Ha Tinh province to restore the power grid after storm No. 5.

The working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Huu Khanh, Deputy General Director, Head of EVNCPC's Department of Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue, along with functional departments, urgently set off this morning.

EVNCPC has established a shock team from 5 power companies: Quang Tri (40 people), Hue (50 people), Da Nang (40 people), Quang Ngai (40 people) and Gia Lai (40 people), bringing necessary means, equipment and materials to coordinate with Ha Tinh Power Company to fix the problem and restore power supply.

Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, General Director of EVNCPC emphasized: "Although EVNCPC's power grid was also affected after storm No. 5, with the spirit of mutual love and support, as soon as we learned that Ha Tinh Power Company suffered serious damage and many areas lost power, we urgently mobilized more than 200 officers, engineers, and workers to go to support.

EVNCPC is a unit that regularly faces storms and floods, and has a lot of experience in handling natural disasters, so forces, vehicles and materials were immediately deployed to coordinate with other units, quickly restore the power grid and soon restore power to the people."

According to initial statistics, storm No. 5 with strong winds of over level 12, gusts of level 14-15 directly hit the Ha Tinh- Nghe An area, causing serious damage. In Ha Tinh, two 110kV power lines (Cam Xuyen-Ky Anh 2 and T500-Huong Khe) had problems, many areas in the area had to stop supplying electricity.

On the medium voltage grid, more than 220 lines and branches were disrupted, with Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa provinces being the most severely affected. The transformer station system was also greatly affected, with thousands of stations out of operation; many power poles were broken, kilometers of lines were damaged, nearly 3,000 meters and many other auxiliary equipment were affected.
