On August 13th, Mr. Nguyen Vu Linh, director of Bach Ma National Park (Hue City), stated that the park has implemented numerous measures to conserve and breed white pheasants in the wild.
Accordingly, through biodiversity research, surveys, and monitoring, the national park's staff has noted that the number of wild white pheasants in the area is trending upwards.
Many tourist groups visiting this area have often encountered white pheasants roaming around and foraging for food, creating a fascinating experience.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sum (residing in Hue City) said that during his recent visit to Bach Ma National Park, his group was fortunate enough to encounter white pheasants foraging in the middle of the forest on several occasions.
"Not just once, but many times we have encountered this endangered species roaming freely in the forest."
"Seeing white pheasants, as well as many other rare animals like langurs, monkeys, and pheasants, in Bach Ma forest is not something rare," Mr. Sum said.

According to Mr. Nguyen Vu Linh, however, conservation efforts still face many challenges due to habitat loss, the emergence of natural predators, and the risk of illegal hunting.
Bach Ma National Park has intensified patrols, removed traps, and stepped up public awareness campaigns to improve understanding of wildlife protection.
Simultaneously, efforts are being made to rescue, breed, and reintroduce white pheasants back into their natural environment.

From 2022 to the present, Bach Ma National Park has successfully bred 24 individuals. Some individuals were received from Cuc Phuong National Park ( Ninh Binh ) and exchanged with the Ho Chi Minh City Zoo to increase gene diversity and avoid inbreeding.
Mr. Linh stated that in the coming time, Bach Ma will continue to cooperate with domestic and foreign organizations and local authorities to conserve the white pheasant, strictly handle violations, and contribute to enriching the ecosystem of the Truong Son forest.
