The 2025 10th grade admission season in Ho Chi Minh City witnessed a remarkable trend when nearly half of public high schools had an average benchmark score of less than 5 points/subject. This shows a strong fluctuation in this year's admission picture.
Specifically, according to the latest statistics, up to 51 out of 109 high schools in Ho Chi Minh City (accounting for 46.8%) set the 10th grade benchmark score lower than 5 points/subject. This number is significantly higher than in 2024, when only 34 out of 108 schools (accounting for 31.5%) had this benchmark score.
Notably, this year, there are 14 high schools with the lowest standard score of 10.5 points (equivalent to 3.5 points/subject). Among them, schools such as Binh Khanh High School, An Thanh High School and An Nghia High School are the names that have recorded this score since 2024.
This number is higher than in 2024 when only 34/108 high schools in Ho Chi Minh City took this level (accounting for 31.5%). Of which, there are 3 schools taking the lowest standard score of 10.5 points, equivalent to 3.5 points/subject including Binh Khanh, An Thanh and An Nghia high schools.

According to instructions from the Department of Education and Training, after looking up and confirming that they have been admitted, students and parents need to immediately take the following steps:
From June 26 to 4:00 p.m. July 1, candidates confirm online enrollment in high schools of all remaining types at: https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn
Before 10:00 a.m. on June 28, the Department of Education and Training will collect the secondary school review records and submit them to the Examination and Quality Control Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.
From July 3-10, successful candidates in all types of admission procedures will carry out admission procedures directly at the confirmed high school through the online system.
The Department notes that if parents and students do not complete the admission procedures, the candidate will be considered removed from the admission list.
The review results are expected to be announced on July 11.

From July 12 to 14, additional admissions will be considered for those admitted after review.
From July 15 to no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 17, submit additional admission applications in all categories.
From July 20 to 21, high schools will report on the status of admitted students submitting their applications. On July 22, high schools will report on the need and number of additional 10th grade students (if any).
