On June 27, Ho Nguyen Thien Vu and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, students of Hermann Gmeiner Da Lat High School, Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, arrived at the exam room in the morning with injuries from a traffic accident. However, the two candidates suppressed their grief to complete the exam.
Earlier that morning, Nguyen Thien Vu drove a motorbike carrying Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao to the exam location at Thang Long Da Lat High School for the Gifted (Da Lat city) and was involved in a traffic accident.

The incident left Vu with injuries to his left leg and head, and female student Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao with minor injuries to her right leg.
Upon receiving the news, the Lam Dong Traffic Police arrived at the scene and took Vu to Lam Dong General Hospital for emergency treatment. After being treated by a doctor, Vu returned to the exam site in time to take the exam.
Ho Nguyen Thien Vu said that although he was still in quite a bit of pain from the traffic accident, he tried to complete the test and was confident of getting a high score.

Similarly, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao said that when the traffic accident happened, she was very worried. However, with the encouragement of teachers and exam supervisors, she was able to calm down and complete the exam.
According to the Departmentof Education and Training of Lam Dong province, along with more than 1.1 million candidates nationwide, this year Lam Dong has nearly 17,000 candidates entering the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. The number of candidates in this province registering for the exam is more than 16,900.
