Over the past period, the Ministry has issued more than 10 documents guiding ministries, sectors, and localities on the arrangement and handling of public assets.

As of September 30th, over 14,050 properties have been processed; 13,759 properties still need to be processed across 34 provinces and cities.

According to periodic statistics, the implementation progress is assessed as positive, and the number of facilities requiring treatment is gradually decreasing.

To avoid waste and the deterioration of headquarters, especially for central government units located in the area, the Ministry of Finance has requested a review and assessment, in coordination with local authorities, to exchange or transfer the premises to the local authorities when they are no longer needed.

Recently, the Ministry of Finance sent another document to the People's Committees of provinces and cities, and ministries and agencies, requesting them to intensify and decisively direct efforts in the coming period to definitively resolve the issue of surplus housing and land.

Representatives from the Department of Public Assets Management answered questions from the press.
