Accordingly, the survey to assess the capacity and digital skills of teachers, managers... of schools will be conducted from October 13 to 17 (you can get familiar with the system operations from October 6 to 12) at the link https://chuyendoiso.hcm.edu.vn .
The survey will be conducted on all education managers, teachers, staff of primary, secondary, high schools and affiliated units in region 2 (former Binh Duong ) and region 3 (former Ba Ria-Vung Tau) and education managers, teachers, staff of schools in region 1 (former Ho Chi Minh City) that have not been surveyed in the 2024-2025 school year.
The digital skills and competencies assessment survey consists of 60 questions to be completed in 50 minutes, with content covering the knowledge and professional skills needed to use information technology in the process of organizing educational activities.
Specifically, basic knowledge of digital transformation; digital transformation in education management; information technology infrastructure; creative and innovative thinking in digital transformation; basic knowledge of artificial intelligence; digital platforms in schools.
After conducting the survey, based on the number of correct answers, the survey results are evaluated at the following levels: Not meeting requirements; meeting basic level; meeting advanced level.
The survey system will issue online Certificates to qualified educational administrators, teachers and staff.
If the survey taker is assessed as "Not qualified", then register to attend the digital transformation in education class (basic part). If the survey taker is assessed as "Achieved basic level", then register to attend the digital transformation in education class (advanced part).
Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City conducted a survey on English proficiency of teachers at all levels. Specifically, 50,278 teachers (22,284 primary school teachers, 10,088 secondary school teachers and 8,229 high school teachers) participated in an online survey in the form of objective multiple choice tests, lasting 90 minutes at https://englishsurvey.hcm.edu.vn , from April 23 to 29.
Also according to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, out of 50,278 teachers, there are 4,721 English teachers and 45,557 teachers of other subjects.
The above teachers have taken an English proficiency test with content designed and standardized by Cambridge Assessment English, ensuring objectivity, science and high reliability in assessing English proficiency. The test includes listening, reading and writing skills to assess English proficiency according to the CEFR (from A1 to C2).
According to statistical results, out of a total of 50,278 teachers who took the survey, 9.45% of teachers achieved A1 level; 11.35% achieved A2 level; 35.09% achieved B1 level; 13.63% achieved B2 level; 3.69% achieved C1 level; 0.29% achieved C2 level and 26.5% achieved other levels.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said the core purpose of the survey is to assess the current situation, not to test individual qualifications. This survey is conducted to assess the overall picture of English proficiency of teachers in the entire industry. The survey results are important and necessary input data for Ho Chi Minh City to have a realistic and scientific view of the current situation.
