Nearly 10,428.6 billion VND was spent as gifts for people on the occasion of Independence Day.

According to the quick summary data of the State Treasury (KBNN), by 11:00 on September 1, 2025, 3,120/3,321 communes and wards had completed withdrawing funds from the KBNN to organize gift giving to citizens, accounting for 93.95% of the total number of communes, with an amount of nearly 10,428.6 billion VND, reaching 96.99% of the assigned estimate.

All 34 provinces, cities, communes and wards are making efforts to withdraw funds from the State Treasury to organize gift giving to each citizen.

In 18 provinces and cities, including: Hue, Bac Ninh , Ca Mau, Cao Bang, Dong Thap, Ha Tinh, Hung Yen, Lam Dong, Lai Chau, Khanh Hoa, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Son La, Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, all communes and wards have completed withdrawing funds from the State Treasury to organize the implementation of gift spending at facilities according to regulations.

In the remaining provinces and cities, localities have achieved over 90% of communes and wards completing the withdrawal of funds from the State Treasury to organize gift giving to citizens and continue to urge and support the remaining units to deploy and complete the tasks.

Many people said that receiving gifts is very simple, fast and convenient.

It is known that localities and units, including the State Treasury, have been making efforts, focusing resources, urgently completing assigned tasks, ensuring gifts are given to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, so that all people can have a jubilant, complete Independence Day, full of joy and pride in the country that is firmly entering a new stage of development.

On the Treasury side, to ensure that National Day gifts are delivered to the people before September 2, the Treasury Director has requested that all units in the entire system arrange for full staff (including leaders and specialists) to work throughout the National Day holiday from August 30 to September 2, 2025. Payments must be made smoothly, to the right people, in the right regime and on time.

At the same time, the Director of the State Treasury also requested that the subordinate State Treasury units arrange a standing unit, ready to support localities in handling situations arising during the implementation process, and promptly receive and resolve difficulties and problems from the State Treasury of the regions through the announced support focal points.

Directors of State Treasury in the regions are required to urgently and seriously organize and implement, ensuring that social security policies and major policies of the Party and State reach the people in a timely, transparent and effective manner, contributing to spreading the profound humanitarian spirit on the occasion of the nation's great holiday.
