Nearly 12,000 people visited General Vo Nguyen Giap's grave during the holiday.

During the April 30-May 1 holiday, nearly 12,000 people and tourists visited and offered incense to pay tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap and his wife, who are resting at Vung Chua-Yen Island, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district.

On September 29, 2024, Associate Professor Dang Bich Ha, wife of General Vo Nguyen Giap, rested eternally beside the General at Vung Chua-Dao Yen. Her grave is located on the left side of General Vo Nguyen Giap's grave, with her head leaning against the mountain, facing the East Sea. General Vo Nguyen Giap and his wife Dang Bich Ha were together for more than 60 years, going through many ups and downs in life, long years of war and days of independence and freedom for the country.
From early morning, people lined up to visit the tomb. The tomb management board and the General's family arranged for management, protection and careful guidance for people and tourists when they came to visit.

Mr. Doan Van Gia, a tourist from Vinh City, Nghe An Province, expressed: “On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, we from Nghe An came here to offer incense in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap, who made great contributions in organizing the Ho Chi Minh campaign, bringing the country to today's reunification day.”
