Nearly 500 athletes compete in the 2025 National Karate Championship

VHO - On June 26, in Hue city, the Department of Physical Training and Sports in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue city opened the 2025 National Karate Championship.

The tournament gathered nearly 500 athletes and coaches from 34 provinces, cities and sectors across the country, including: Hanoi , Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue.

Together with Da Nang, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tra Vinh, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang and the delegation of the People's Public Security and the Army.

Athletes will compete for 30 sets of medals, in weight categories from 44kg to over 68kg for women and from 50kg to over 86kg for men in 2 categories Kata (form) and Kumite (combat).

The Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags to the participating units of the Tournament.

The 2025 National Karate Championship aims to evaluate Karate training in provinces, cities and sectors nationwide; thereby, selecting excellent athletes for the national team, preparing forces to participate in regional and international tournaments and the 33rd SEA Games, ASIAD and Olympics.

According to experts, the top 3 leading units of the tournament will be an attractive competition between strong units including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , Army, and Ha Tinh.

The 2025 National Karate Championship brings together nearly 500 athletes and coaches from 34 provinces, cities and industries across the country.

To ensure the success of the tournament, the Organizing Committee requires referees to conduct the tournament objectively and in accordance with the law; athletes to compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, progress, and compliance with the tournament rules and regulations.

The 2025 National Karate Championship will take place from now until June 30, 2025 at the Hue City Central Gymnasium.
