The Tong Le Chan Border Guard Station (Tan Hoa Commune, Tan Chau District, Tay Ninh Province) still faces many difficulties regarding water resources.

According to Major Ta Quang Ninh, Deputy Head of Tong Le Chan Border Guard Station, the unit always attaches importance to the work of inspecting and preventing illegal entry and exit, and resolutely fights against all types of crimes. Every day and every week, the Border Guard forces coordinate with the Commune Police and militia to organize patrols, control, maintain management order, contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.

However, border management and protection work still faces many difficulties. The management area is large, mainly protective forests, with many trails, so there are potential risks of complications. At some times, there is a shortage of forces, especially professional staff, making it difficult to grasp the situation comprehensively. In addition, in this area, the kinship relationship between the two sides of the border is quite close, causing illegal crossings to still occur, requiring officers and soldiers to persistently monitor, mobilize and propagate.

The biggest difficulty for officers and soldiers at Tong Le Chan border posts is the lack of living conditions. Here, the phone signal is quite unstable, there are areas where electricity is not available, and spiritual life is still limited. Especially in the dry season, the lack of water for daily life often occurs. Underground water sources are scarce, wells often dry up, soldiers have to save each can of water for both eating and drinking and daily activities.

There were times when officers and soldiers had to use rainwater or ask for water from neighboring households. Supplying from the center of the station to the checkpoints was also difficult because the forest roads were far and difficult to travel. However, despite all that, officers and soldiers remained steadfast in their posts, considering it a challenge to train their will and successfully complete the task of guarding peace on the border...

Determined to maintain the border

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Toi, Political Commissar of Tong Le Chan Border Guard Station, said that after the local government was reorganized, the political security situation and social order and safety in the area were always stable. The coordination relationship between the station and the Party Committee, the government, and local departments and branches has become increasingly close and effective. Currently, the commune Party Committee has introduced 6 party members to participate in activities at 6/6 hamlet Party cells and assigned 20 party members to be in charge of 85 households in the border area, creating a solid position of people's hearts.

Not only is the unit a solid shooter, it also cares about social security. Through the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of the Border Guard Station", the unit currently supports 6 students with difficult circumstances, of which one is sponsored by the Deputy Political Commissar, two are supported by the Station's Political Department. The gifts and funds, although not large, are a practical source of encouragement, adding confidence and determination for the students to continue pursuing knowledge.

In performing the task of managing and protecting the border, officers and soldiers of Tong Le Chan Border Guard Station regularly coordinate closely with functional forces, organize patrols, fight against crimes, and protect border works. In particular, the station has proactively exchanged information with the Police and Military of Tan Hoa commune to promptly handle situations related to illegal entry and exit crimes, gambling, and smuggling. Thanks to that, security and order in the border area are basically guaranteed.
