Early autumn-winter rice, nearing harvest, is being offered for sale by farmers, but new transactions are limited due to high asking prices.

Specifically, regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, IR 50404 rice (fresh) increased by 200 VND, fluctuating between 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 380 rice is at 7,000 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) is priced at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is priced at 8,400 - 8,600 VND/kg; Japanese rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; and Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) is fluctuating between 8,600 - 8,800 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the harvested rice in the fields is beginning to ripen, and while demand for rice is high, transactions are slower due to farmers raising prices. Specifically, in Dong Thap, there are few new transactions for the autumn-winter rice crop because the asking price is high, and traders are mainly buying rice that has already been deposited. In An Giang, transactions have slowed down due to farmers raising prices.

Similarly, for rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the price of IR 504 raw rice fluctuates between 10,350-10,500 VND/kg; finished IR 504 rice increased by 50 VND, fluctuating between 12,450-12,550 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of various by-products range from 6,000 to 9,400 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant rice bran is 9,300 - 9,400 VND/kg; the price of dry rice bran ranges from 5,950 - 6,100 VND/kg.

Observations from various localities today show that the supply is low, fragrant rice is mostly broken, regular rice prices have increased slightly, and some traders with good quality rice are selling it at the market at higher prices.

In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the supply is less than yesterday; the Sa Dec market channel has received a small amount of rice, fragrant rice is mostly broken, and other types of rice are of average to good quality. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang ), rice is available sporadically, prices are stable, and some vendors with good quality rice are selling it at the market at a higher price.

At retail markets, rice prices remained stable compared to yesterday. Regular rice increased by 1000 VND, reaching 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price at 28,000 VND/kg. Fragrant rice is offered at high prices ranging from 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice at 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice at 21,500 VND/kg; long-grain Thai fragrant rice at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at 21,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice at 18,500 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice at 21,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice at 22,500 VND/kg.

On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices increased slightly today compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice is priced at US$410/ton; standard 5% broken rice at US$522/ton; and 25% broken rice at US$485/ton.
