In the world market, the silver price listed on Goldprice.org is at 32.34 USD/ounce; down 0.7 USD.
Silver prices fell as key US economic reports shook investor sentiment and lifted Treasury yields, said James Hyerczyk, market analyst at FX Empire.
“ With GDP falling and inflation rising again, silver is being hit by the combination of high interest rates, which are a safe haven, and a stronger US dollar due to rising bond yields ,” he said.
Besides, according to Kitco, silver price fell below 33 USD/ounce due to concerns about global economic recession affecting the consumption of this precious metal in industry.
In the long term, analysts say the solar sector will play a key role in the silver market, as global demand for cheap renewable energy continues to grow.
