Coffee prices today in the domestic market on October 13, 2025

The coffee market in the Central Highlands has just gone through a reporting period with stable prices in all key provinces. The market is maintaining a stable price after a period of time, the price is fluctuating around 113,500 - 114,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, in Lam Dong, the price is trading at 113,000 - 114,000 VND/kg, no change compared to the previous session. The stable price maintenance here is especially noteworthy, as the ceiling price reached 114,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region. This condition supports purchasing and exporting activities, based on the province's solid coffee production foundation.
Next in the price race is Dak Lak , a land famous for producing high-quality coffee. Currently, this province is trading at 113,800 VND/kg, also recording no fluctuations.
Gia Lai also contributed to the overall stability of the market. The province maintained its price at VND113,500/kg, with no changes recorded compared to the previous session. With its important role in supplying coffee to the market, Gia Lai continues to contribute to a stable supply, meeting the demand from roasters and exporters.
Coffee markets entered the new week with experts saying the price rally was hampered by a number of factors. The start of the harvest in Vietnam, rainy weather in Brazil and a strong US dollar are holding back the recovery. These factors are creating short-term downward pressure on prices, especially as supplies from the world’s two largest producers gradually increase.
In contrast, the market received support from a sharp drop in stock on the exchange floor, along with expectations of increased year-end buying in leading consumer markets such as Europe and the US. The US government’s failure to resume operations led to a disruption in reporting on the New York Stock Exchange, making Arabica information largely based on sentiment and susceptible to speculation. This increased volatility, requiring investors to monitor closely.
In Vietnam, the coffee harvest begins in October and lasts until January of the following year, with peaks in November and December. Currently, farmers mainly harvest and sell fresh coffee to drying agents. Normally, coffee prices tend to fall during the season, but this year they may hold steady or increase slightly thanks to Robusta being cheaper than Arabica, making it more popular in the international market.

Vietnam's coffee exports in the first nine months of 2025 reached nearly $7 billion, up 61% year-on-year. According to customs data, the export volume reached nearly 1.24 million tons, up 11.7%. In September alone, exports to the US reached 5,528 tons, up 81% compared to August and 163% compared to the same period in 2024. In total, in the first nine months, the US imported 70,834 tons of Vietnamese coffee, worth $387.6 million, up 10.2% in volume and 65% in value. The US is currently Vietnam's sixth largest import market, after Germany, Italy, Spain, Algeria and Japan.
The competitive advantage will increase when the US imposes reciprocal tariffs from August 2025: Vietnamese coffee will be subject to 20%, while Brazil will be subject to up to 50%. US importers are shifting strongly to Vietnamese supplies, boosting export turnover.
According to the latest forecast of the Import-Export Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the last months of 2025, the world's coffee consumption demand will continue to increase sharply due to the festival season and winter in many countries. This is the peak period every year, creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese coffee industry to boost exports.
