On the London exchange, Robusta coffee prices fell sharply across the board in the latest trading session. The sharp decline across all tenors shows that the market sentiment is pessimistic and under great selling pressure.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Arabica coffee prices recorded a sharp decline across all delivery contracts in the latest trading session. This "red fire" shows that a wave of selling and pessimism is dominating the market, with a decline of around 1.1% to 1.3% across all terms.

A report just released by Brazil shows that in September 2025, the country exported about 195,800 tons of coffee, down 19.5% over the same period last year.
This shows that Brazil's coffee exports have not been cleared after the US imposed a reciprocal tax of up to 50%. As a result, the country's coffee exports have continued to decline, despite having just finished harvesting with an estimated bumper crop.
The International Coffee Organization (ICO) reported that global coffee exports in August 2025 reached 681,000 tons, down 3.75% compared to the same period last year. The reason was the decrease in exports from South America, down 14%; Brazil alone decreased by 23%.
Meanwhile, the Asian coffee region (Vietnam, India, Indonesia) increased by 14.9% to 210,000 tons. However, in the 11 months of the 2024-2025 crop year, global coffee exports still increased by 0.2%.
