Golden bell contest to promote disaster prevention and control for the young generation

DNO - On the afternoon of October 13, the Agricultural Extension Center of Da Nang City organized the Golden Bell Contest: "Let's learn about natural disaster prevention" at Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Thanh Khe Ward).

The contest took place at Nguyen Trai Secondary School, attracting 100 students from all grades. They completed 30 multiple choice and open questions, testing their knowledge of natural disasters in the locality and across the country. The best contestants were honored with First, Second, Third and Encouragement prizes.

In addition to Nguyen Trai Secondary School, the contest was also held at 8 other secondary schools in Thanh Khe ward, including: Hoang Dieu, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Do Dang Tuyen, Le Thi Hong Gam, Huynh Thuc Khang, Chu Van An, Nguyen Duy Hieu, Phan Dinh Phung.

The contest plays an important role in raising awareness and coping skills for students, equipping them with skills to protect themselves and support their families and friends when natural disasters occur. This activity also contributes to promoting the attention of authorities at all levels, schools and the community on disaster prevention and control.

This is part of the Project "Raising community awareness and community-based disaster risk management for the period 2021 - 2025" of Da Nang city. The project aims that by 2029, 70% of secondary school students will participate in training and activities to raise awareness and skills in preventing, combating and mitigating natural disaster risks.
