Da Nang proactively responds to heavy rain warnings

DNO - In response to the forecast of widespread heavy rain from December 3 to 5, the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command issued dispatch No. 246/CD-PTDS requesting departments, branches, localities, and units to proactively deploy response measures and plans.

Accordingly, armed forces units, departments, branches, sectors, local People's Committees and units organize on-duty shifts, closely monitor disaster forecast and warning bulletins, promptly inform people about natural disaster situations to proactively respond; be ready to deploy disaster prevention and control plans.

At the same time, direct the management board and investors of projects under construction to implement plans to prevent heavy rain for the projects; prevent flooding, and clear the flow for residential areas where projects are under construction. Check, review, and implement measures to ensure the safety of key projects and projects under construction.

In addition, information on natural disaster situations is provided to units, tourism infrastructure and tourists; localities, tourist areas, outdoor entertainment areas are required to ensure safety for tourists, infrastructure... when natural disasters occur.

The People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones deploy shock forces to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, and areas at risk of floods, flash floods, and landslides to proactively clear the flow of blocked areas. At the same time, proactively evacuate people to safe places and have plans to support food and necessities for people at evacuation sites.

Arrange forces to guard and control people and vehicles in areas at risk of deep flooding and landslides. Prepare forces, vehicles, equipment and necessities according to the "four on-the-spot" principle to be ready to respond to all situations, especially in areas at risk of being isolated.

The Department of Construction is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to deploy plans to prevent and combat flooding, clear drainage ditches; guide and ensure traffic safety, and promptly direct the handling of landslides on traffic routes.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment organizes inspections and guides localities and units to ensure safety and restore agricultural production activities.
