DNO - On the evening of December 3, the Department of Construction officially informed about the subsidence incident on Nguyen Cong Tru Street in the afternoon of the same day.

At 2:10 p.m. on December 3, the area of ​​Nguyen Cong Tru Street - from Ngo Quyen Street to Tran Hung Dao Street (adjacent to Capital Square 3 Urban Area) collapsed, creating a "death hole" 15 meters long and 6 meters wide; the drainage pipe under the road was broken; 2 cars parked in the area fell into the sinkhole.

Damage recorded was 2 cars damaged, no human damage.

According to the Department of Construction, the Capital Square 3 Urban Area project is under underground construction, and the surrounding wall system of the project at the location adjacent to Nguyen Cong Tru Street is open.

When it rains heavily, rainwater carries sand from the construction area near the exposed retaining wall into the construction, causing the foundation to collapse and the stormwater drain on Nguyen Cong Tru Street (adjacent to the construction site) to break; water from the drain erodes the soil in the area, causing the roadbed and technical infrastructure in the area to collapse.

Immediately after receiving the information, leaders of the City People's Committee, leaders of the Department of Construction, along with leaders of An Hai ward and other units, organized an inspection of the scene and requested the investor to immediately take measures to remedy the situation.

Currently, the investor and units have taken measures to isolate dangerous areas and implement temporary measures to ensure safety at the construction site and the area; at the same time, they have organized a specific assessment of the cause, established measures, and organized to overcome the construction impact on neighboring constructions according to regulations.
