Among the 10 outstanding families honored, the family of Ms. Vang Thi Thong and Mr. Lam A Ha (village Team 3, Ban Lien commune) was honored for their efforts to overcome difficulties, build a happy home and develop a sustainable economy .
From a poor household, the couple boldly borrowed capital and switched to community tourism. In 2020, the family opened a homestay service in Ban Lien, welcoming domestic and foreign guests to experience Tay culture. Although they encountered many difficulties at the beginning, with a spirit of learning, they worked hard to learn, participated in training courses on service skills, accommodation, and cuisine , gradually perfecting the business model.
In early 2025, the family’s homestay was chosen as the filming location for the reality TV show “Haha Family”, attracting a large audience nationwide. The simplicity and sincerity of Mr. Ha and Ms. Thong and their two children, Lam Anh Thu and Lam Bao Thang, left a good impression, contributing to spreading the image of the Ban Lien highlands and the Tay culture.
Not only developing the economy, his family also actively participates in community activities, preserves national identity, and builds a happy home.
The story of Ms. Vang Thi Thong and Mr. Lam A Ha's family is a living proof of the will to rise up and the value of unity and love in every young Vietnamese family today.
At the ceremony, Ms. Vang Thi Thong's family and other outstanding families received Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the program's logo and a set of jewelry products symbolizing the connection between family members.
