Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of June 9, 2025 |
Statistics show that last week, coffee prices in the Central Highlands region fell by VND3,500/kg compared to the previous week, currently fluctuating between VND113,500 - 114,000/kg. This is the lowest level since early December 2024, and marks the 6th consecutive week of price decline in the domestic coffee market.
In the world market, at the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee for July 2025 delivery closed last week at 4,440 USD/ton, down 1.6% (70 USD/ton) compared to the previous week; the September futures contract decreased by 2.8% (124 USD/ton), to only 4,339 USD/ton; on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for July 2025 delivery increased by 4.6% (15.6 US cents/pound), reaching 358.05 US cents/pound; the September contract also increased by 4.6% (15.7 US cents/pound), at 355.45 US cents/pound.
According to experts, the coffee market is in a correction phase after several hot sessions in late May and early June. Profit-taking pressure from international speculators and selling in the domestic market have caused prices to drop sharply in the past week.
However, the medium-term trend is still considered positive thanks to the scarce supply and low inventory in Vietnam. The market is waiting for new developments from Brazil - which is about to enter the peak harvest season, which could create more big fluctuations in the coming time.
Coffee growers should stay close to the market, avoid selling in bulk when prices are adjusting, and also monitor signals from the USD exchange rate and international shipping rates.
Vietnam’s coffee exports in May increased by 60.5% year-on-year to 148,762 tons, according to the Vietnam Customs Department. However, the cumulative exports from January to May still decreased by 1.8% year-on-year to 823,908 tons.
