World rubber prices today, July 29, tend to move sideways due to investor sentiment remaining cautious amid economic and political fluctuations. Meanwhile, rubber latex purchase prices at large domestic enterprises tend to recover strongly, however, fluctuations between units are still quite clear.

World rubber price

At the end of this morning's trading session, the price of August rubber futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) - China was almost flat at 15,420 Yuan/ton.

In Thailand, rubber futures prices for August also remained stable at 73.37 baht/kg.

On the Osaka Exchange (OSE) - Japan, rubber prices decreased slightly by 0.2% (0.8 Yen) to 334 Yen/kg.

On the SGX (Singapore), rubber futures prices continued to edge up, reflecting expectations of a slight market recovery. Specifically, the TSR20 contract for August 2025 reached 175.90 cents/kg, September increased to 178.90 cents/kg, October reached 180.70 cents/kg, November reached 181.00 cents/kg and December recorded 181.10 cents/kg.

According to the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries, global rubber supply in 2025 is expected to increase by only 0.5%, while consumption demand will increase by 1.3%, creating a shortage of about 673,000 tons.

China's tire exports are growing strongly. Specifically, China exported nearly 3.5 billion new pneumatic rubber tires in the first 6 months of 2025, up 5.5% year-on-year, according to official data released by China Customs on July 18, European Rubber Journal reported.

The total volume of rubber tire exports in the first half of the year reached 471 thousand tons, up 4.5% compared with the first half of 2024. The export value increased by 4.9% to 83.45 billion yuan (about 10.5 billion euros).

New pneumatic tires alone accounted for 453 thousand tons of the total, up 4.2% year-on-year, with a value of 80.09 billion yuan.

However, in June, rubber tire exports showed signs of slowing down, with a total volume of only 82 thousand tons, down 7% compared to the same period in 2024. The export value this month decreased by 6.7% to 14.4 billion yuan.

In contrast to the growth trend of China's tire export industry, the European automobile market witnessed a significant decline in June. According to a report released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) on July 24, the number of new car registrations this month decreased by 7.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching just over 1 million vehicles.

In the first half of 2025, the total number of new vehicle registrations reached 5.57 million units, down 1.9% compared to the same period in 2024. ACEA said the sharp decline in June was a clear sign of "a challenging global economic environment for automakers".

However, the market share of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) still improved, reaching 15.6% in the first half of the year, up from 12.5% last year but still low compared to the target set in the transition to green vehicles.

Meanwhile, hybrids continue to dominate the market, holding the position of the most popular engine type with a 34.8% market share. In contrast, the combined market share of gasoline and diesel vehicles is only 37.8%, down sharply from 48.2% in 2024.

Amid volatile markets, Russia is stepping up investment in the tire industry. Chemical conglomerate JSC Avangard has announced plans to build a giant tire plant in the Omsk region, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

The 41.5 billion ruble (450 million euro) project will be implemented in the local 'Avangard' special economic zone, according to information from a July 9 meeting between Deputy Minister of Economic Development Svyatoslav Sorokin and the OMSK regional government.

The plant is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2028, with an annual production capacity of approximately 10,500 extra-large tires, which are specialized tires for mining vehicles and heavy equipment, designed to withstand extremely heavy loads.

Domestic rubber price

Rubber prices today at some large companies recorded a strong recovery trend, however fluctuations between units are still quite clear.

At Mang Yang Rubber Company, the purchase price of grade 1 latex is 392 VND/TSC/kg, grade 2 is 387 VND/TSC/kg; grade 1 mixed latex is 394 VND/DRC/kg, grade 2 is 345 VND/DRC/kg.

Phu Rieng Rubber Company listed the price of latex at 410 VND/TSC/kg, and mixed latex at 380 VND/DRC/kg.

Ba Ria Rubber Company, latex price ranges from 405 - 415 VND/TSC/kg depending on TSC level; if latex quality does not meet the standard, the price will be adjusted down according to the progressive deduction formula or only 80% of level 1 will be purchased if there are fillers, pH exceeds the threshold.

The price of mixed latex here remains stable, from 13,800 to 18,500 VND/kg depending on the DRC level.

Binh Long Rubber Company purchases latex at the factory at 401 VND/TSC/kg and at the production team at 391 VND/TSC/kg; the price of 60% DRC impure latex is 14,000 VND/kg./.
