Advertising fees help prime time actors earn huge income?

Prime time actors like Thu Quynh, La Thanh Huyen or Bao Han also admit that TV series with its coverage, bringing a big turning point in quality and investment in recent years has brought attraction to many artists.

The time when the movie “Come home, my child” took the screen by storm helped Bao Thanh, Bao Han, Thu Quynh, Manh Truong, Quang Anh... become a “dream cast”, in high demand for events and advertisements. In 2019, when the movie was “making waves” on the screen, a Facebook post by a famous actor like Bao Thanh could be worth up to 60 - 70 million VND.

Nowadays, acting has become a “lever” to bring actors to dream income levels. The salary for acting in TV dramas is not too high, as many artists say, “after filming, the money is gone”. But thanks to the roles on prime time, the cast is invited to attend events, post on Facebook, advertise for brands...

Recently, speaking with reporters, a brand representative revealed that they were “quoted” at many different levels by the assistant team of the prime-time actors. Accordingly, an attractive actor like Ha Viet Dung can “quote” 40 million VND for a post with a link on his personal page.

If the actor posts self-recorded videos about the brand, or livestreams under 1 hour, the price is about 45 million VND. The fee for attending an event depends on the "hotness" of each artist's name. The prime-time film can range from 80 million VND to 150 million VND. The event is controlled in terms of time, about 1-2 hours.

Taking advertising photos with an attractive actor like Ha Viet Dung costs about 80 million VND, while to invite female actors of prime time like Huyen Lizzie and Hong Diem to participate in filming product experiences, the brand has to "spend" about 100-120 million VND.

A brand representative said: “When performer The hotter and more noticeable they are, the higher their pay will be. When artists have too many invitations at the same time, they will also choose the highest price or the brand that best suits their image. Spending 120 million - 150 million VND may not be enough to invite a hot actor of prime time to experience the product for 1 hour.

Being in demand for shows, attending events, and advertising for brands are big sources of income, but many actors affirm that when they enter a film project, they refuse many invitations to focus all their energy on the new role.

“When filming, when accepting a role, none of us think that we have to play this or that role to attract more event shows, or accept this character to increase advertising fees. Everything happens as a predetermined roadmap, artists must first devote themselves to their acting career, must sacrifice for their roles, contribute to the audience, after making efforts and trying to achieve success, to gain recognition, we will have more opportunities to increase income from many other sources. Nothing comes naturally. All achievements must come from effort and hard work. Everyone is the same, we can only make a living from our profession when we are devoted to it” - People's Artist My Uyen answered when asked about the income of actors.
