The song “ The Little Elephant in Ban Don” by musician Pham Tuyen is spreading on social networks with variations different from the original. Ms. Pham Hong Tuyen - musician Pham Tuyen’s daughter - said that the song “The Little Elephant in Ban Don” was adjusted from major key to minor key without the musician’s approval.

"My father and my whole family felt uncomfortable because no one asked for permission from the author to release this derivative song. Even many people, when singing this song, still thought it was by musician Pham Tuyen. Even professional singers, when asked to perform the song "Child Elephant Ban Don", sang the derivative version, as a matter of course, " Ms. Tuyen shared.

"The Baby Elephant in Ban Don" is a famous song for children.

The family representative said that musician Pham Tuyen strongly supports the creation and renewal of his works, but that does not mean that the song can be arbitrarily used or changed without the author's permission. Musician Pham Tuyen's family hopes that the author of the derivative version of the song " The Little Elephant of Ban Don" will contact them so that everything can be clarified.

The song "The Little Elephant in Ban Don" was composed by musician Pham Tuyen during a field trip to Dak Lak with musician Nguyen Duc Toan and musician Hoang Van in 1983. Some time later, the song was chosen as the theme song for Dak Lak Radio and Television Station.
