Pig prices continue to rise, in some places increasing by up to 3,000 VND/kg

The price of live pigs today, October 25, recorded an increase of 1,000 - 3,000 VND/kg nationwide, fluctuating between 49,000 - 55,000 VND/kg.

* Pig price in the Northern region increased by 1,000 - 3,000 VND/kg.

After increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, the two provinces of Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh both purchased live pigs at 52,000 VND/kg.

53,000 VND/kg is the transaction price recorded in localities including Lao Cai , Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg.

Hung Yen and Phu Tho provinces both traded at 55,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg and 3,000 VND/kg respectively.

Pig price today in the North is around 52,000 - 55,000 VND/kg.

* The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions increased by 1,000 - 3,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh provinces all increased by 3,000 VND/kg to 53,000 VND/kg.

49,000 - 52,000 VND/kg is the price range recorded in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue and Ninh Thuan provinces after an increase of 1,000 VND/kg.

Except for Lam Dong province, the remaining localities increased by VND 2,000/kg to between VND 50,000 - 52,000/kg.

Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 49,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

* Pig prices in the South increased in many localities.

After increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, localities including Binh Duong, Long An, Dong Thap and Bac Lieu purchased at prices ranging from Binh Duong, Long An, Dong Thap and Bac Lieu.

Traders in localities including Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and Vung Tau all increased by VND2,000/kg to VND51,000/kg - equal to Binh Phuoc after increasing by VND3,000/kg.

Pig price in the Southern region today is around 50,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.
