In particular, localities such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Lam Dong maintain the price of 59,000 VND/kg; Ha Tinh, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa continue to purchase at 58,000 VND/kg; Quang Tri, Hue and Da Nang have the lowest price in the region at 57,000 VND/kg.

In the North, the price of live pigs is generally stable, maintained at around 57,000 - 60,000 VND/kg. Only in Cao Bang, the price of live pigs increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently reaching 59,000 VND/kg. Localities such as Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi , Hai Phong, Phu Tho, Hung Yen still maintain the level of 60,000 VND/kg.
In the South, the price of live pigs today is around 60,000-61,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in An Giang, Vinh Long and Can Tho, the price of live pigs increased by 1,000 VND/kg, to 60,000 VND/kg; in Dong Nai, Ca Mau and Ho Chi Minh City, the price of pigs remained at 60,000 VND/kg; Tay Ninh and Dong Thap continued to stay at the highest level in the region at 61,000 VND/kg.

Experts predict that in the final months of the year, the pig market will face a double impact: a decrease in supply due to African swine fever and increased demand during the holidays and Tet. Therefore, disease control, along with support for farmers to maintain their herds, is the key factor to ensure a stable supply.
