Training on biosafety free-range chicken farming techniques for farmers

On September 24, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Agricultural Service Center coordinated with the People's Committee of Bac Khanh Vinh Commune to organize training on safe free-range chicken farming techniques using bedding for 30 farming households in the communes of Bac Khanh Vinh, Tay Khanh Vinh, and Suoi Hiep.

The program focuses on providing technical guidance on raising free-range chickens in a biosafe manner, emphasizing the application of biological bedding - a solution that is being encouraged in many localities. The bedding is made from rice husks, sawdust, combined with probiotics, helping to decompose waste, limit odors, reduce environmental pollution and prevent diseases. In addition, farmers are also equipped with knowledge on building barns; brooding techniques for chicks; disease prevention processes; nutrition, food hygiene and safety in chicken farming. The training course aims to help farmers access new techniques in raising chickens, increase income and build a local free-range chicken brand.

It is known that the Provincial Agricultural Service Center is implementing 8 models of safe, bio-safe free-range chicken farming using bedding with a total scale of 6,000 chickens in the province.
