According to a report from the Hai Duong Statistics Office, in the first 4 months of 2025, the pig farming industry in this province achieved many positive results thanks to effective disease prevention and control, with no recorded outbreaks in the area. Localities in the province have implemented many support policies, creating favorable conditions for livestock development.
As of April 30, 2025, the total pig herd (excluding weaned piglets) is estimated at 463,500, an increase of 5.53% over the same period in 2024. The output of live pigs for slaughter is estimated at 6,300 tons, an increase of 5.3% over the same period.
Pig farming activities in enterprises, large-scale farms and professional households continue to bring high economic efficiency. This stability comes from ensuring quality breeds, stable consumption markets, along with good implementation of environmental sanitation and disease prevention measures.
