According to predictions from several domestic retailers, the price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is unlikely to drop further in the coming month, and may even increase due to market conditions. This has happened before with the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max in previous years as they approached the end of their product lifecycle.
In recent years, Apple has typically discontinued the iPhone Pro models released the previous year to make room for the new generation, leading to dwindling supply. This has caused retailers to adjust prices upwards again.
In Vietnam, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, as well as the other three models in the iPhone 14 series, have experienced continuous price reductions since the Lunar New Year shopping season, becoming entangled in a price war among retailers. The economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which reduced demand for mobile devices, have pushed the technology market into an unprecedented situation, as many major retailers have noted. 2023 also marks the first time that newly released iPhones have seen such rapid price drops.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to be in short supply in the near future.
However, the overall situation is "warming up," coupled with the favorable price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, leading to more positive sales of this product. " Currently, iPhone prices are near their lowest point. With the current supply and demand from Apple, dealers estimate that the remaining iPhone 14 series will not be too abundant. Furthermore, the price wars among dealers have ended, meaning iPhone prices will not decrease further until the end of September, " commented Tuan Minh, Apple product representative at Hoang Ha Mobile.
According to a representative from Di Dong Viet, after a long period of continuous price reductions in the "below-price" war, the price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max may increase slightly by a few hundred thousand dong at the beginning of September. " Currently, the supply of the iPhone 14 Pro duo is showing signs of scarcity, and it is expected that there will be localized shortages in some areas by the beginning of September. This will cause the price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Pro to increase slightly by about 300,000 - 400,000 dong. The iPhone 14 Pro Max has always been the best-selling model, accounting for about 20% of total smartphone sales for almost a year, " shared Ms. Phung Phuong, a media representative from Di Dong Viet.
On the market, the reference price for the iPhone 14 Pro Max is approximately 25.8 to over 26 million VND for the 128GB version after deducting dealer discounts, a reduction of over 9 million VND compared to the initial launch price. The 256GB and 512GB versions are currently priced at 28.6 million VND and 35.8 million VND respectively. After 10 months on the Vietnamese market, the standard version of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is now cheaper than the listed price of the iPhone 14 Pro.
At the same time, the iPhone 14 Pro is also hitting its lowest price at 23.6 million VND for the 128GB version. This model has dropped by more than 7 million VND compared to the listed price. At this time, in addition to the price being almost one-third cheaper than the listed price, users also receive additional offers such as a 2 million VND discount when trading in their old phone for a new one, and 0% interest installment payments.
