According to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine, the province currently has 6 supply chain linkages between businesses and livestock farmers, totaling 208 farms. In addition, 13 cooperatives are linking with livestock farmers in supply chains, including 3 goat farming cooperatives, 3 beekeeping cooperatives, 4 pig farming cooperatives, 2 poultry farming cooperatives, and 1 swiftlet farming cooperative. These linkage models have contributed to improving production efficiency, reducing market risks, and enabling people to access modern livestock farming practices.

Along with developing supply chain linkages, the province's livestock industry continues to promote production according to quality standards. Currently, the entire province has 25 livestock farms certified VietGAP and GlobalGAP. To date, Gia Lai has 804 active livestock farms and projects, of which industrial and farm-scale livestock production accounts for more than 32% of the total herd.
In the first quarter of 2026, the total number of key livestock in the province increased compared to the same period of the previous year. Specifically, the cattle herd reached 793,400 head, an increase of 1.8%; the pig herd reached 1.75 million head, an increase of 8.3%; and the poultry flock reached 18.4 million head, an increase of 8.5%.
In the coming period, the agricultural sector of Gia Lai province will continue to promote businesses to link up in contract farming and product consumption, encourage the development of high-tech, bio-safe, and environmentally friendly livestock farming to enhance competitiveness.
