From November 6-12, Gia Lai province will organize the 2024 Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano with many unique cultural, sports , and artistic activities.

The highlight of the event is the opening ceremony on the morning of November 8, 2024, at the communal house of Ia Gri village, Chu Dang Ya commune, with the awarding of a Vietnam Record for the largest number of participants in a gong performance. Other attractive activities include: a competition to conquer the summit of Chu Dang Ya volcano, performances of folk art and traditional costumes, hot air balloon releases, and the 2024 Half Marathon with the theme "Awakening the Chu Pah countryside - A journey connecting mountains and flowers".

The Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano, Gia Lai 2024 will be held from November 6-12.

Activities will take place in various locations such as Nghia Hung commune, Bien Ho lake, and the Chu Pah area, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the scenery of Gia Lai and learn about the culture of the Central Highlands. The week promises to bring unique experiences, contributing to the preservation of traditional culture and promoting local economic development.

Through the 2024 Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano, Gia Lai province continues to showcase the image of wild sunflowers associated with Chu Dang Ya Volcano, which has been selected by the Vietnam Record Organization Vietking as one of the top 10 most attractive destinations in Gia Lai. Notably, Chu Dang Ya was recognized as one of the 10 most beautiful volcanic craters in the world by a British magazine (in 2018).

The main venues for the event are the communal house courtyard of Ia Gri village, the volcanic area of ​​Chu Dang Ya commune, Nghia Hung commune, Chu Pah district, and the Bien Ho area, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province.

As part of the 2024 Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano activities, there will be cultural events, sports activities, a competition to conquer the summit of Chu Dang Ya Volcano, folk games, art exchange programs, souvenir stalls, local specialty products, exhibitions of photographs showcasing the province's culture and tourism development potential, a traditional weaving and brocade weaving competition, a hot air balloon launch, and the 2024 Half Marathon "Awakening the Chu Pah Countryside - A Journey Connecting Mountains and Flowers".
