Coffee market price stable
At 5:00 a.m. on July 21, 2025, the London floor recorded the price of Robusta coffee unchanged, maintaining a fluctuation range of 3,193 to 3,407 USD/ton. Specifically, the contract for delivery in September 2025 was listed at 3,348 USD/ton; the contract for delivery in November 2025 was 3,322 USD/ton; the contract for delivery in January 2026 was 3,290 USD/ton; the contract for March 2026 was 3,269 USD/ton; and the contract for May 2026 was 3,246 USD/ton.
Similarly, the New York floor in the morning session of the same day also witnessed Arabica coffee prices remaining stable, fluctuating between 280.70 and 310.50 cents/lb. Specifically, the price for September 2025 is 303.60 cents/lb; December 2025 is 295.95 cents/lb; March 2026 is 288.70 cents/lb; and May 2026 is at 283.00 cents/lb.
Also on July 21, the price of Brazilian Arabica coffee closed the session unchanged from yesterday, maintaining a range of 358.25 to 389.05 USD/ton. The specific terms are as follows: July 2025 at 389.05 USD/ton; September 2025 at 373.10 USD/ton; December 2025 at 362.80 USD/ton; and March 2026 at 358.25 USD/ton.
As of 5am this morning, domestic coffee prices remained stable as in the previous session. The average purchase price in key areas was 93,700 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, traders are purchasing coffee at 94,000 VND/kg, no change compared to the previous day.
For Dak Lak province, the current price is 93,800 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous session.
With the same price of 93,800 VND/kg, the coffee market in Gia Lai province has not recorded any fluctuations compared to yesterday.
In Ward 1 Bao Loc, Hoa Ninh Commune, Duc Trong Commune and Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune in Lam Dong Province, coffee prices remained unchanged today, fluctuating at 93,500 VND/kg.
In the trading week that just ended, coffee prices in the Central Highlands recorded a significant increase from 3,400 to 3,700 VND/kg compared to the previous week. In Lam Dong (Dak Nong), the increase reached 3,700 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak and Gia Lai provinces, coffee prices increased by VND3,500/kg and VND3,600/kg respectively. Lam Dong alone had the strongest increase, reaching VND4,000/kg.
Currently, domestic coffee prices are up to VND7,000/kg higher than the price of coffee futures for September 2025 listed on the London exchange. This gap reflects increased domestic purchasing demand, especially from businesses that need to complete delivery contracts.
Currently, about 200,000 tons of coffee are held by foreign-invested enterprises (FDI). With strong financial potential, these enterprises are able to hold goods to wait for high prices, reducing supply in the market.
This is putting great pressure on domestic exporters: if they do not have enough coffee to deliver, they may have to buy it back from the FDI sector at a higher price. This will narrow profit margins and affect their competitiveness in the international market.
Pepper prices remain stable
Data updated at 5:00 a.m. on July 21, 2025 shows that domestic pepper prices continue to maintain a sideways trend, unchanged from the previous session. The average purchase price in key areas reached 138,600 VND/kg.
In Gia Lai province, pepper price remained at 137,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous decrease.
Ho Chi Minh City market maintained the price at 138,000 VND/kg, no change compared to yesterday.
In Dong Nai, pepper price is currently purchased at 138,000 VND/kg, no adjustment compared to the previous session.
Pepper prices in Dak Lak province continued to remain stable at 140,000 VND/kg, with no changes recorded.
Also in Lam Dong, pepper is being purchased at 140,000 VND/kg, no change compared to yesterday.
The International Pepper Community (IPC) announced at 5:00 a.m. on July 21, 2025 that world pepper prices were stable in key markets, with not much change compared to the most recent session.
Specifically, the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper is currently listed at 7,216 USD/ton; at the same time, the price of Muntok white pepper remains at 10,058 USD/ton.
The Malaysian market also kept prices stable with ASTA black pepper at USD 8,900/ton and ASTA white pepper at USD 11,750/ton.
Brazil is currently buying pepper at $5,800 a tonne, unchanged from the previous session.
The export price of Vietnamese black pepper remains at 6,440 USD/ton for 500 g/l and 6,570 USD/ton for 550 g/l; the current price of white pepper is offered at 9,150 USD/ton.
As of last weekend, domestic pepper prices ranged from VND137,000 to VND140,000 per kilogram, down from VND1,000 to VND2,000 per kilogram compared to last week. Specifically, in Gia Lai, pepper prices fell by VND2,000 per kilogram within a week.
In provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai in the Southeast region, pepper prices fell by VND1,000/kg. Dak Lak also recorded a similar decrease. Meanwhile, Lam Dong was the only locality with no change in prices.
Although it has recovered nearly 10,000 VND/kg compared to June 2025, the current pepper price has not been able to reassure investors who have poured large amounts of capital into this industry. Initial expectations of a strong price increase cycle have not materialized, putting many businesses in a difficult position.
