On August 2, the retail pork market continued to be stable at many major distribution systems. At WinMart and Ha Hien Food Company, prices of pork products did not record any adjustment compared to previous days.
According to an update from WinMart's e-commerce site, the price of Meat Deli chilled meat on the morning of August 2 remained unchanged. The products continued to be listed between VND119,922 and VND163,122/kg. The 20% discount program is still being applied to members.
Of which, pork belly and lean pork maintained the highest prices, at VND163,122/kg and VND157,520/kg, respectively. Lean shoulder meat was sold at VND126,320/kg, unchanged from the previous day. In addition, boneless ham was listed at VND127,922/kg, while grade 1 ground pork was the lowest in the surveyed list at VND119,922/kg.
Similar to WinMart, Ha Hien Food Company also did not adjust pork prices today. Products here are currently sold in the range of 89,000 - 190,000 VND/kg.
Baby back ribs and pig tails continue to be the two most expensive items, at VND190,000/kg and VND176,000/kg, respectively. Pork belly is sold at VND166,000/kg, while pork shoulder fluctuates around VND136,000/kg. Pork ribs are currently priced at VND134,000/kg, while other popular products remain stable compared to previous days.
Meanwhile, the price of live pigs across the country recorded mixed developments between regions. In the North, prices continued to increase slightly, with many localities such as Tuyen Quang, Hung Yen and Hanoi reaching the highest level of 65,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the Central Highlands region turned to decrease in some places such as Hue, Da Nang and Gia Lai, bringing the lowest price to 57,000 VND/kg. In the South, prices remained stable compared to the previous day, commonly from 62,000 to 64,000 VND/kg. In general, the live pig market is still in a state of slight adjustment by region, with daily fluctuations from 57,000 to 65,000 VND/kg.
