Pepper price today September 24, 2025 in the domestic market
Pepper prices today in some provinces of the Central Highlands and Southeast did not fluctuate much, ranging from 147,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, Dak Lak and Ba Ria - Vung Tau have the highest prices, both at 150,000 VND/kg. In particular, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau have increased by 1,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, pepper price in Dak Nong is currently at 149,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg.
In Gia Lai and Binh Phuoc , pepper price today remains at 147,000 VND/kg.
Overall, the domestic market is "stagnant" for a long time, with an average of about 148,600 VND/kg, mainly due to stable supply and high export levels. Vietnam continues to lead pepper exports, with an average export price of 6,803 USD/ton in the first 8 months of the year, up 42% over the same period in 2024. However, imports of raw pepper have increased sharply to support processing, especially from markets such as Germany, where Vietnam takes the lead with an average import price of more than 7,000 USD/ton.
Pepper price today September 24 in the world market
At the end of the most recent trading session, the world pepper market witnessed stability in most commodities.
The price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 remained stable at USD 6,600/ton. Similarly, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper remained unchanged, with the 500g/l grade reaching USD 6,600/ton and the 550g/l grade reaching USD 6,800/ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper price also remained stable at USD 9,700/ton.
On the contrary, Indonesian pepper prices have been adjusted. Specifically, Indonesian black pepper decreased by 0.48% to 7,027 USD/ton. At the same time of survey, Indonesian Muntok white pepper closed at 9,957 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged at 9,250 USD/ton. Malaysian ASTA white pepper continued to move sideways at 12,900 USD/ton.
In the international market, pepper prices today (September 20, 2025) recorded stability in most commodities. The price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 remained at 6,600 USD/ton, Vietnamese black pepper remained at 6,600 USD/ton (500 g/l) and 6,800 USD/ton (550 g/l), while Malaysian black pepper was stable at 9,700 USD/ton.
Indonesian Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper decreased slightly to USD 7,027/ton and USD 9,957/ton, respectively. Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged at USD 9,250/ton, while Malaysian white pepper remained at USD 12,900/ton.
The global market is being hit by tight supplies, with global production down around 20% this year, leading to higher prices. Exports from Indonesia fell 1.6% in volume but increased 34.6% in value in the first seven months of the year, with Vietnam being the largest consumer. In the US, wholesale pepper prices ranged from $2.68 to $4.03 per kilogram, reflecting pressure from tariffs and supply. Overall, global pepper prices are holding back after fluctuations, awaiting signals from new harvests in Brazil and Indonesia.
