Gold price drops rapidly, SJC brand down to 98.2 million VND per tael

Continuously adjusted, by early this afternoon (March 21), the price of SJC gold at domestic enterprises fell back to nearly 98 million VND per tael while ring gold also decreased, approaching 99 million VND.

After only a few hours of trading, the SJC brand at businesses has dropped to nearly 98 million VND/tael.

At 2:00 p.m. on March 21, Saigon Jewelry Company; Doji and Phu Quy all announced the price of SJC gold in the range of VND95.40-98.20 million/tael, down VND1.6 million/tael compared to the opening price of the morning session.

At Bao Tin Minh Chau and Phu Quy companies, the price of gold rings listed by these two businesses is from 96.80-99.30 million VND/tael (buy/sell), down 1.1 million VND/tael compared to early this morning.

Thus, with the above adjustment, since yesterday afternoon, the price of SJC gold and gold rings has "evaporated" from 1.5-2 million VND/tael.

In the world, the gold price this afternoon also fell to the threshold of 3,032 USD/ounce, down 3 USD compared to early this morning. This price is equivalent to 94 million VND/tael when converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank .

Early this afternoon, the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank was announced at 25,380-25,740 VND. Vietinbank listed the USD exchange rate at 25,388-25,748 VND/USD (buy/sell) while BIDV traded at 25,380-25,740 VND/USD (buy/sell)./.
