World gold prices
As of 4:00 AM on May 27th (Vietnam time), the world gold price was trading at $4,446.2 per ounce, down $60.2 per ounce compared to yesterday's session.
Based on the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,394 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 141.5 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees).
Gold prices are forecast to fall to near two-month lows as the market expects the US Federal Reserve (Fed) to continue or even tighten monetary policy to control inflation, amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in Iran.
Furthermore, conflicts in the Middle East have caused oil prices to surge, raising concerns about inflation, but this in turn increases the likelihood of the Fed raising interest rates, which is detrimental to gold because gold does not yield interest.
