Stable supply while weak purchasing power has caused many hot motorbike models on the market such as Honda Vision, SH, Air Blade... to simultaneously have deep discounts at dealerships.

According to a reporter's survey, since the beginning of April 2023, after Honda's move to increase prices on a series of motorbike models in the Vietnamese market, motorbike dealers have simultaneously reduced prices to stimulate demand and attract buyers in the context of weak demand.
Specifically, the sports version of Honda Vision - Honda's best-selling model in the Vietnamese market is currently being offered by dealers for 39.59 million VND, a decrease of 400,000 VND compared to mid-March 2023; the special version costs 36 million VND (a decrease of 1 million VND) and the premium version has an actual selling price of 35.29 million VND. The Standard version remains the same price as last month at 33 million VND.
However, according to dealers, customers can only choose to buy the standard Honda Vision with black paint. For other versions such as premium, special and sport, the number of available vehicles is quite large but not uniform in color options.
Similarly, the selling price of some Honda SH versions at dealers has dropped sharply by 2-3 million VND since the beginning of April 2023. The Honda SH 125 CBS version is currently priced at 79 million VND and the SH 160 CBS version is priced at 96 million VND. Compared to the beginning of March 2023, this price has decreased by 2 million VND. The two versions with the highest selling price, the Honda SH 150 ABS sport and SH 160 ABS, still maintain their selling prices at 121 million VND and 116 million VND, respectively.

Honda SH Mode has the biggest discount of up to 10 million VND for the premium and special versions. If last month, the price of these two versions was kept at 75-75.5 million VND, this month it is only 65.5-66.5 million VND respectively. The sports version has gone from 80.5 million VND to 74.3 million VND (a decrease of 6.2 million VND). Despite the sharp price reduction, the price of this model at dealers is still 8-10 million VND higher than the listed price.
For the "scooter king" Honda SH 350i - after a strong price reduction at the end of March 2023, the price of this model is still kept at 130 million VND, not much change compared to before.
Notably, at some Honda motorbike dealers in Hanoi , the mid-range scooter Honda Air Blade, although in short supply, has seen its price decrease by 1.5 - 2 million VND compared to March 2023. Accordingly, the standard Honda Air Blade 125 is priced at 42 million VND, the special Air Blade 125 is priced at 44.5 million VND. The two higher-end versions, the standard Air Blade 160 and the special Air Blade 160, are priced at 56.2 and 57 million VND, respectively.
Dealers said that currently the store only has the Honda Air Blade 125 version, while to own the 160 version, buyers have to wait quite a long time because the factory only delivers 2-3 units per month.

Besides Honda, the selling prices of scooter models from the Yamaha brand remain stable and the difference is not too large compared to the suggested retail price. Even the actual selling prices of models such as Latte, Janus or Freego are lower than the listed price.
Specifically, Yamaha Janus versions are being offered at prices ranging from 28.2 to 32.2 million VND (up to 900,000 VND lower than the official suggested price). Yamaha Latte is currently fluctuating between 37.8 and 38.3 million VND, while Yamaha Freego is being sold 600,000 VND lower than the listed price, down to 29.9 to 33.8 million VND.
In addition, other car brands such as Piaggio or SYM also have no price fluctuations. For example, Vespa Primavera is priced from 74.5 million VND; Sprint 125cc from 75.5 million VND; SYM Attila 125cc is priced at 32.9 million VND...
