On September 17, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Secretary of the Ea Trol Commune Youth Union (Song Hinh District, Phu Yen Province), said that the commune's youth union, together with sponsors, organized the "Lighting up the dreams of highland children" race in 2024.
According to Ms. Hien, this race attracted more than 200 local child athletes, most of whom were children of the Ede ethnic group.

"Ea Trol commune is one of the poorest localities in the mountainous district of Song Hinh. So for the children, the race is both a new and useful activity," said Ms. Hien.
The Secretary of the Ea Trol Commune Youth Union added that this race is probably one of the most special races in Phu Yen province in recent times, as the race route passes through villages, with bamboo hedges and stilt houses typical of the Ede ethnic group.

After more than 200 young athletes completed the 2km run, the units organized a Mid-Autumn Festival program with many meaningful activities for the children here. In addition, the organizers gave the children many valuable gifts such as: school bags, moon cakes, lanterns with a total value of nearly 50 million VND.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien said that within the framework of the program, the units joined hands to contribute nearly 100 million VND to support people in the northern provinces affected by storms and floods.
