On April 17, Mr. Le Hoang Son, Director of the Sao La Conservation Area Management Board in Quang Nam, confirmed the information.
He said that a day before, a group of Areh village community members were patrolling to protect the forest in sub-area 39, Ta Lu commune, Sao La Nature Reserve, Quang Nam. They discovered an adult black antelope, weighing about 40 kg, caught in a hunter's trap.
The goat was tied tightly to one of its front legs by a cable. It tried to break free, but the rope tightened and it remained stuck in one place. The six-man security force restrained the goat and removed the cable from its leg. After the rope was removed, the goat ran into the forest.
