(Dan Tri) - On January 20 (US time), Mrs. Melania Trump walked alongside Mr. Donald Trump at the US Presidential inauguration ceremony. The outfit of the First Lady of the US President received many compliments from fans and the media.
At the event, Mrs. Melania Trump (born 1970) appeared in a dark blue double-breasted coat, a pencil skirt of the same color, combined with a wide-brimmed hat. She wore black leather gloves and dark blue suede high heels.
Melania's outfit received praise for its elegance and match with her husband's appearance.

It is known that Mrs. Melania's outfit was custom-made by designer Adam Lippes.
"Today, we are honored to dress our first lady, Melania Trump. The outfits she wears are created by some of America's finest artisans and I am proud to present such work to the world ," a representative of the brand told the New York Post.
"Mrs. Melania looks amazing", "Melania and Ivanka make me proud that these healthy, older women represent my country with such style and class", "Mrs. Melania is very beautiful, elegant and simple" are the compliments that most of the media gave to the First Lady of the US President.

The wide-brimmed hat was also the highlight of Mrs. Melania's entire outfit. The hat was designed by designer Eric Javits. Normally, American first ladies do not wear hats at presidential inaugurations, but Mrs. Melania Trump did this.
Besides Melania, the last first lady to wear a hat to her husband's inaugural events was Hillary Clinton (wife of 42nd President Bill Clinton) in 1993. Before that, Nancy Reagan (wife of 40th President Ronald Reagan) did the same in 1985.
"Hats have not been an important part of the American woman's wardrobe for decades. Americans do not often wear them for festivals or big events," fashion critic McClendon explains.
He believes that Melania's hat wearing could create a future fashion trend. Many others also believe that Melania wants to send a message through her outfit.

The person who designed the hat for Mrs. Melania said: "I often tend to create harmony and balance for the face through the design of the hat shape. In this case, designing a hat for the first lady was not too difficult because Mrs. Trump has a perfect facial bone structure, is beautiful and fashionable."
Melania wore Ralph Lauren to Trump's inauguration in 2017. At the time, she wanted to pay homage to former First Lady Jackie Kennedy by wearing a pale blue dress.

She later donated the dress to the Smithsonian Institution's First Ladies exhibit, which features outfits worn by presidential wives dating back to Martha Washington.
“Choosing the costume is fascinating and becomes part of our national story,” she said.
In many events, the First Lady of the US President often chooses designs from French, Italian and British fashion houses such as: Valentino, Dior, Burberry, Hermès and Alexander McQueen.
Melania Trump (55 years old) was born in Slovenia. In 1996, she moved to the US to pursue a modeling career. In 2005, she married Mr. Trump and gave birth to son Barron in 2006.
Ahead of her husband's inauguration on January 20, Melania Trump appeared on Fox News' talk show Fox & Friends , saying she would spend more time at the White House after Donald Trump takes office for a second term as US President.

Besides the White House, she plans to divide her time between New York and the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida (USA).
"I will be in the White House. When I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach. My top priority is being a mother, being a first lady, being a wife, and starting January 20, I will serve my country," she said.
When asked how it felt to return to the White House after eight years, Melania said she was always herself. She insisted that she was not discouraged even though people underestimated her abilities.
"Maybe people just see me as the president's wife, but I stand on my own two feet. I have my own thoughts. I don't always agree with what my husband says or does and that's okay," she shared.
