Ahead of her husband's inauguration on January 20, Melania Trump appeared on Fox News' talk show Fox & Friends , saying she would spend more time at the White House after Donald Trump takes office for a second term as US President.

Besides the White House, she plans to divide her time between New York and the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida (USA).

"I will be in the White House. When I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach. My top priority is being a mother, being a first lady, being a wife, and starting January 20, I will serve my country," she said.

When asked how it felt to return to the White House after eight years, Melania said she was always herself. She insisted that she was not discouraged even though people underestimated her abilities.

"Maybe people just see me as the president's wife, but I stand on my own two feet. I have my own thoughts. I don't always agree with what my husband says or does and that's okay," she shared.
